It's not easy being history's most notorious purveyor of mischief.  The trials and mishaps of my adventures I can deal with stoically enough, but after 700 years of being every ones favorite scapegoat I have had just about enough of the fake news related to dear old Loki.  Now, I have never claimed innocence from my misdeeds, for that would be self depreciating for this trickster, but I am claiming that the stories about me are, shall we say, tainted by the most outrageous biases and delusions.  I intend on setting the record straight once and for all.  

I now present to you my first example.  This is Sif.  Her and I go back a long way.  Many of you, I am sure have heard the tale of how the devious Loki sneaked up on this 'innocent' young maiden while she napped and proceeded to cut off her flowing, golden locks.  Yes, yes, shear her locks I certainly did, and between us friends I will even admit to still having them, that is unless Odin's dusty old ravens didn't swipe them to line their nest; but for the rest of that audacious tall tale, sheer poppycock.  

Sif always fancied herself a goddess of prudent repute, an icon of chastity, the cleansing light of Asgard, but unfortunately for her pious adorants, her behavior was considerably more . . .um, nuanced.  Sif, you see, has always had an obsession with yours truly.  As shocking as this may sound to mortal's ears, it is really quite inevitable, for the more Sif tried to convince herself of her own purity the stronger the seductive aroma of the local bad-boy became to her.  Add to this her fondness for spiked nectars, a juveniles understanding of runes, my own Hollywood good looks, and you have this scene from the Enchanted Forest.  Oh, how I remember it as clearly as if it were last week........                (To Be Continued)
